Stephen, my work here is done, it is time you all found your own paths.

 

I know that you know what it is, as for warm inside, i feel like ive been in a halogen oven for the last 8 hours, naming a fungi isnt going to help that!

 

I will let you go and get an ice pole and a cool drink And I await a more enthusiastic / appreciative reply .

I was going to kick it off the tree but I thought NO , take a pic and let Tony know I care :)

stephen, I love it, you know I do, but dont tell me you arent just a little bit more "into it" than you once was.

 

Dryads saddle, or if you want its posh name polyporus squarosus.

 

though personaly I would like to get everyone naming this the pheasents back fungi, as for me the true dryads saddle, is the Oak bracket Inonotus dryadeus.

 

but I will argue that out with some taxonomists at a later date!
