Or maybe the customer is a bad payer and too embarrassed to call the original company! maybe welwell's old boss had to chase for the money! and maybe welwell's old boss is pleased he never got the job...:sneaky2:

Good point Lee!

When you don't have all the facts its easy to jump to concussions.

Frankly m8, the client is within their rights to employ whomever they deem appropriate to complete the works...this not enuff???

He has a tongue in his head if he has indeed got issue with your actions....he didnt get where he is 2day by not taking jobs cos one of his employees didnt like the client kinda thing.

As Oliver says, get on and move on.....!!

Just hypothetically, but if you were good mates with every single arborist in your area, would you call them all to see if they minded you taking their work? When you were employed by your ex-boss, you did the job well, and were paid for it. He took the money from the client, probably making a bit of profit, and thats where his contract with that client ends. If you hadnt won the job, more than likely someone else would have done, so I shouldnt lose any sleep over it, its a dog eat dog world out there. But if it helps your conscience, then make the call.

Hmm, your right Lee, not thinking outside the box.

I don't get that many bad payers, I just knock on the door when I've finished the job and whilst asking how they want to pay, I twictch one eye and twitch my head. They seem to want to pay straight away then. :001_tongue:
