I'm sure it said somewhere that you can get a direct link if you have over 50 likes.

 

What I mean is a link like http://www.facebook.com/fairfordtreeservices

 

withought all the other rubbish. ANyone know how its done? I need a shorter link to use on business cards etc.

Facebook URLs are odd ones, because of the coding they use sometimes the URL is twice as long as it needs to be. the one i just put up should work for you.

 

What I've done is on my cards and adverts I put 'The Crafty Weasel- handmade gifts and crafts. Phone 01239 698 231 or search for us on Facebook'. Just tried it and by the time I typed 'Fairford' in the facebook search bar it had suggested your page.

Might be the easiest way.

 

How do you re name a link on here then? I coul duse that in my sig instead of the tiny URL.

when you paste in a link, the second bit is what you see, so if you change that, you're sorted, like so

comes up as: Fairford tree services
