We got one of these on ebay. 5T pull with 25M of rope. It cost £250 though we had to bid on a couple first to win the bid. It seems pretty solid, though I haven't used it yet. Just finishing fitting it to a Scot Trac.

yeah i've got one of these on my landy, but it was a bit cheaper when i got it a year or so ago, like £190 if i remember rightly, ent a bad winch, only use it to pull the odd tree over, good buy :001_smile:

my husky superwinch i got of ebay for £200 has done me proud, spent £30 on service parts for it, new gaskets, oils and gearbox grease. £80 on a bumper, about £100 for a custom made wiring loam for it all, and about £80 on a used lodar industrial remote with 60mtr range, so when felling i can control it myself, the remote is well worth having. so far i havent found anything it wont pull sensibly, been using it for felling and rolling big logs when sawing them up it will roll a 5ftdia 30ft poplar trunk uphill without thinking about it.

Because the husky is worm drive as well you dont have an issue leaving it with tension on a load like a normal electric winch.

Im pretty sure there is a reason these are fitted to loads of utility spec landrovers

I spent a bit more, I bought a 4 tonne superwinch on offer from 'the electric winch shop' say £250 + fitting bits etc and fitted it to the back of my L200 - handy for pulling landies out:001_tt2:

From a winch on a friends landy I found you need at least 4 tonne + a pulley so you can pull 8 tonne, also a 4 tonne winch is not too heavy. We also made a large fork to go on the back - put some pictures on an earlier winch post:thumbup1:
