Big beech tree dismantle:- 1 And a Bit days.

The tree had died about 2 years ago, was planning to climb but got a friend in with a MEWP just to knock the brash off.

Had Samuel from Arbtalk help me for the duration and everything went smooth, one of few private jobs i do get so made the most of it.

the big piece of butt went to my friend who mills timber so it wasn't all used as firewood,

Hope you enjoy:thumbup:

Good work. Not too sure what the teeny brash matt of dead twigs was supposed to do though... ;)

thanks, and the reasons for the crash mat was

1 to protect the saws from the silt soil there was

2 to help aid in getting the slings round for the hiab

3 because it broke up the brash more so it fit in the back of my wagon easier.:001_tt2:

Straight fell, not enough room? Good job. I love platforms and buckets now :)

no room for fell mate there was another copper beech wellingtonia lime and ash all in the way, maybe could of done a stunt fell but it would have been very close, so i didn't take the risk.

Nice one guys.

Thats a super lift you had there........ and a great carpet of brash/ branches in the 18th and 19th pics!

thanks mate,

was an awesome lift mate, had the brash of in 1 hour like sam says it was raining wood, love just mashing out big limbs and watching them smash to pieces so therapeutic.
