I brought a carlton chain once for my 346xp, never again. Wouldn't hold an edge, and even when it was sharp wasn't anywhere near as quick as others. I now use Oregon chain, haven't been able to find Stihl chain to fit.

I'm guessing your saw will use .325 .058 in which case Stihl do RMC (Rapid micro comfort) and also RSC (Rapid Super comfort).

Hi

Of the 200 + chains Oregon make some are heavily guarded and don't perform like the pro chains, i am the Oregon area mgr for NI and invite you to try the latest pro chains like 22BPX and 22LPX .325 chains and 75LPX 3/8 chain for your saws amongst many others, PM me your number and town and i'll direct you to the nearest Oregon dealer.

Once you have tried these X chains i would appreciate your comments here on Arbtalk.

I RUN 3 SAWS ON 75LPX AND ALSO HAVE 2 OREGON MULTICUT CHAINS FOR DIRTY WOOD SLEEPERS /POLES ETC IVE NOT HAD A PROBB SO FAR sorry caps
