check the isolator switch these can cause probs i changed the one on my trailer and it woks fine now

Thanks for the suggestions. There is occasionally a click from the solenoid when i try it, I ll have another check of the connections and buy a new solenoid to try that too.

 

Just checking the obvious but have you checked the battery for charge?

The motor was seized! I gave it a quick tap with a hammer and she works a treat

I suppose it seized due to lack of use, it'll be a PITA if i have to lay underneath it each time i want it to tip though.

Seized motors don’t usually respond to a tap but dodgy solenoids do

Ah.... perhaps I disturbed the solenoid in the process (would be handy as that would be a cheaper problem to fix next time!)
