3 day professional tree inspector course

probably a bit ambitious timing wise but trying to get on the three day course somewhere within about a month and half or to atleast enrol and pay for it within a month and a half, anyone know of any? kensey training is most local to me but they havent got much interest atm

To be honest, and NOT doing a sales pitch here, but, in my experience, those attendees who go residential, or B&B etc., generally seem to fare better with the assessment as they have time in the evenings to absorb the days teaching and do some revision.

 

If this is no good there are other 'providers' who deliver it, try Treelife.

I'm doing the one day this Friday with an attendance certificate at the end of it then I think Richard (the owner of Kingswood) said I can do the three day course in July or August. Not exactly sure what he said but it'd be worth calling him to find out.

I think you can expect to pay about a oner a day Lorry. I might be wrong but either way it's better to get it out of the way now cos things are only gonna go up.

With us its:

 

Members £410 (+VAT)

Non-members £450 (+VAT)

 

So essentially upto £150 per day (+ the dreaded VAT of course.)

It is the Lantra (Awards, not SSC (Sector Skills Council)) one and you don't need to retake it every 5 years that was a mis-understanding based on early certiifciates issued whihc used a generic Lantra Awards template aimed at chainsaw / tree climbing etc. practical skills courses whihc do expire after 5 years (BUT not yer NPTCs.)

 

The expectation is that those who attain the PTI will submit to an ongong programme of CPD (continuing professional development) to keep up-to-date on issues and knowledge affecting competnet tree inspections.

Cheers Paul, i was thinking about it for sept as Chris Simpson is running it not far from me, i better get my books dusted off i think my body language of trees is under the piano leg to stop it wobbling
