Looking for a reasonable second hand saw to run an 18"-25" bar. Stihl or Husky preferred but maybe a Dolmar (old one, not green). Pretty much anything considered, even stuff in need of repair.

I'm not selling any saws but can offer you my opinion from when i was in your position. I got a 441 for this purpose, I wanted a saw that could handle the big stuff but wasn;t so big that it'd be over kill on the smaller side of medium, if that makes sense, looked at 441's and 460's as 660+ are heavy and really drink the fuel. I found a cheap 07 441 first and bought that really happy with it. It pulls the 25" bar through pretty much anything with no problems, makes felling and dismantling bigger stems a quick easy job. so i'll say Stihl MS441. The 460 has slightly more power but considerably higher vibration figures...But whatever comes up cheapest first will be your choice i would have thought:001_smile:
