The classic for attaching saw to rope or rope to rope for passing them up to a climber. Also becomes a sheet bend or a bowline.

yep, tools on rope but also as, false crotch attachment for pole rescue, as tie off for flying capstan (with running bowline), to stop rigging ropes running all the way up to a lower block, as a stop to give me slack when I'm throwing my rope over a branch with a lockjack.
