Had to cut the eye off my Marlow climbing rope because of damage from the spikes but now cant use the cambium saver because the knot wont fit through the rings. Apart from a splice thats beyond me or a new rope is there anything else I can do to over come the problem ???

Pass your rope through the cambium saver without a knot, then just tie your knot. Then on retriveal just take your bowline out and put a granny knot in or use one of those toggle things on your rope to retrieve it.

Im not sure what Ideas I was expecting but having another knot close to the sliding ring of my harness aswell as the prussic and slack tender, is one knot to many, after doing this on friday I kept grabbing the knot instead of the prussic
