when did they introduce the ringing of bells on the way up?

2 years ago I think. ALso you climb on your normal system with a belaying pulling your slack if you ask them to, so its far more realistic now than it was, big improvment, also it levels the feild a bit so more people score points instead of one whippet winning it by miles.

Did he lose points for not retrieving his rope or did he run out of time?

the itcc started putting extra bells in 2007 but the scoring only changed a couple of years ago, 1 point or part of for every 2 seconds insted of 1 second slower than the fastest time.

 

rhys lost 20 points for not removing all his gear in time (he had miss tied his apline on the access line)

Very nice climb Rupe, lovely and smooth. Was there there a decent turn out for the 3ATC comp on the saturday?

Yes I think so, not sure of total numbers, 30 ish I think.

It was a good crack, first time i done a tree climb comp. Does anyone know if someone got the log in the bucket? was a difficult throw a nice climb though
