I think the courses are ones you can do anyway like the QTRA and PTI for example, but being with the CAS gets you on there list if members with these courses completed, have a look round the site and find the nearest consultant to you and either give him a bell or email for further info.

 

I suppose with any professional body there are pros and cons, some people find them cliquey, others not so. Hope to get my name in there one day

IMO the charted arboriculturist status at the ICF is the best one out the lot. AS they are the only royal chartered organisation!
