Hey Lee

Just started using braid line,(whiplash) 30lb is only 0.6mm so you can cast a lure right out without any problem even a small spinner.

Once the temp gets up a few degrees going out to find the Mother of the one i got in the last picture.

Braid is the way to go mate, you want low pressure and a real crappy day to find the mother of that 8lb'er, my best pike weighed in at 14lb I caught it on a tiny 6' spining rod, and small reel, on a realy cold day, snowing the lot, the best thing was I caught the fish on a home made spinner ....

Two weeks and a couple of days, can't wait to get out of this cold miserable weather for a bit, I'll of course be doing a bit of fishing, and shall no doubt be visiting my mate Aram http://www.sunnyfuerteventura.com/gonefishing/ if any of you are into a bit of warm weather, and a good bit of fishing he's worth a visit, and knows his stuff

Well here is the best of the season 18lb on herring tail on sliding treble and 30lb braid. Took me about 15mins to bring in. (nice one)
