make sure the wood is dry and properly weighed but try to buy as a cubic meter.

 

try both types of wood and make up your own mind.

 

thats how i sell softwood to my customers and they keep ordering more.

 

burning wet/fresh wood will soot up your chimney though.

 

imo the best wood is the dryest wood

Why not post your whereabouts i'm sure you could network on here and find someone to supply you some decent firewood.

 

im from northern ireland and was quoted around £800 for 27-28 ton of hardwood might be oak in 8 foot lenghts which is about 28 or 29 pound a ton how does that sound
