Is it just me or is £170.00 for the new BS3998 RECOMMENDATIONS a little on steep side?

I can't see many small companies seeing that as a top priority investment. For me though I am taking the practical for the Tech cert arb this year and know that questions will be asked on this. No doubt there are some hair brained ideas in there and new schools of thought that will be out dated by next week but £170.00 + VAT come on:confused1:

Whether the price is justified or not and not wanting to get into the whole argument about research and development costs etc., why don't you just buy it claim it back against your taxes at the end of the year??? In that way, it will effectively cost you £0.

 

If you're PAYE, then just nag the boss to get it for you.

That's not the best bargain I've heard of - you have spend eye wateringly large amounts of money to have opportunity of a good education. BUT, you get the BSs for nowt.
