OK, I know this is a bit weird as this video is just darkness...

BUT, turn your sound up... My knowledge of birds is very limited, but I know I've never heard birdsong like this at 10.30 at night in April. :confused1: Any ideas what bird this is? I don't even think I've heard it during the day!

I'm sure that's a nightingale.

 

I've only heard one once in the wilds, and that was at a motorway service station of all places!

I had a bird sing like that everynight outside my old house, it rooster above the only street light on the rd, folk wouldn't believe me when I told them.

I heard 1 the other night aswell outside, I thought it was a thrush or blackbird??

defo not a blackbird, they don't sound that pretty!!:biggrin:

I was just going by popularity , as there are loads around my garden.

the 1 that lived across from my old house sang beautifully it would go on all night, we thought it was because of the lampost :)
