sorry for being long winded.:blushing:

I have the pinto on a rope guide but don't like the idea of splicing eyes into the pinto its self, so then i can use it else where, so the next thought would be the spacer, but don't have one so then i used 2 double fishermans onto each eye of the pinto but found the knots real bulky and found retrieval hard. so then jelte prussic but found this to bulky on the rope guide, so now it kept me awake all night last night thinking and i came up with this.

sorry if its already been done, or thought of or even has a name, but hope this helps everyone whos had the same problem.:thumbup1:

nah dont think so bro. i presume its smooth if set the right way but the loop will snag if set the other way round? does that make sense? not sure how else to term it!

had a good climb on it and give it some stick just to see if the base twists would tighten up but they didn't as for the retrieval i know what you mean but after a couple of climbs i guess i'll find out if it does or doesn't but on the first attempt it came out a treat. we shall see.:thumbup1:

Majestic, someone had that knot on here a few weeks back, using it for the very same reason. They had it tied in cord - it was in another post connected to pinto pulleys, I think.

craig-d had one similar but that was only looped then gurth hitched. the one i have done is slightly different.
