pinto configurations- wicked!

Recommended Posts

craig-d had one similar but that was only looped then gurth hitched. the one i have done is slightly different.

You're right - I stand corrected.

Your's has an extra roll before the 'bridge' binds the two legs together.

When I saw CraigD's, your's is what I (incorrectly) remembered it as.

sorry for being long winded.:blushing:

I have the pinto on a rope guide but don't like the idea of splicing eyes into the pinto its self, so then i can use it else where, so the next thought would be the spacer, but don't have one so then i used 2 double fishermans onto each eye of the pinto but found the knots real bulky and found retrieval hard. so then jelte prussic but found this to bulky on the rope guide, so now it kept me awake all night last night thinking and i came up with this.

sorry if its already been done, or thought of or even has a name, but hope this helps everyone whos had the same problem.:thumbup1:

To all of the above

well done majestic

i've been trying to work it out too, tried the sliding double fishermans that scott posted on treetools bit like a chinese puzzle couldn't work out how you could get the not to sit above the eyes so you can use it as a prussic, itms

i gave up in the end,

Just one Q. how have you tied off you prussic, cant tell from the pic?

Had a good climb on it yesterday, everything is working well the bridge stays in place, the side plates on the Pinto are not stressed in any direction they shouldn't be, the cord its self seems to be ok on the twists but will monitor that constantly, as it may be putting a little stress on the cord but, seems fine, as for retrieval it works better than my art rope guide so happy days. i've decided to call it a twisted false splice. would like some input on that so fire away.

Thanks
