could this be used to calculate the age of that tree?

 

wonder how old it is?

 

There are so many factors to consider in ageing trees, none of them taking account as far as im aware of adaptation via hollowing, structural stresses adding girth etc.

 

dendrology is something I should get into much more, not my strength with regard to knowing current thinking, would be interesting to look and read into it.

 

There is a website deddicated to dendrology, shall go see if I can find the one i saw before:001_cool:
