insurance beware!!!

I nearly went there My insurance was up for again so looked around found a good quote ask to spread the payments out turn's out if i paid it in one go it would cost me around £300 If i was to spread the payments out it would of cost me nearly £720 thats with all the so call admin fees,direct debit,hidden charges etc I would of been paying £60 a month over the year It even said on the paper work..£60 over the next 12months total price would be £300

 

Worst thing is its a very well known company and it was recommended by a few pals.Rang up and he even admitted it Think if he said it was a typo i would of fell for it.

 

Thanks god for the 14day contract.

I got done by themw ith this, but after a few hours reading T and C's it was ismple to get out of. I piad htem £1400 up front wanted to cancel a month in, and they would only refund me £650!! All you have to do is ask them to insure a vehicle that your current policy cannot cover, I had a modified car policy on a 200SX so i asked them to switch it to my transit...This meant we had ende done policy, with no fee's and started a new commercial policy. So new transi tpolicy was about £100 less, i got that refunded. I then took advantage of their 14 days no questions no fee's cancellations rule and asked them to cancel about 5 minutes later job done all money back bar a £40 'admin fee'. If you google adrian flux car forums are rife with people winging about this happening to them.

I've had my Hot Rod insurance with them for the last two years, and they have consistently cocked up! On the whole, they come across as an inept bunch of people. I don't really look forward to renewal and I would hate to have to make any kind of claim! Nightmare!
