Stolen equipment

Hi,

Had a few items stolen last night, luckily the alarm scared them off before they could take more.

Was an ms390 saw (not been used much, had an 18" bar on it), an fs56 brushcutter and a Stihl hedge trimmer (can't remember model)

All have a postcode marked on them in paint & UV pen

Were stolen from the Cerne Abbas/Dorchester/Yeovil area (DT2)

Just thought I'd put it here in case someone comes across anything.

Thanks

I am very sorry for your loss of kit. Although I have not been a member of this organization for very long this really seems to be a reoccuring problem. I have read many comments with like descriptions of items being lifted. I wonder if it would be worth while to form a consortium of sorts with alarm companys in the UK. With the shear numbers of companys having stolen kit on a weekly basis it and members belong to this organization it may be practical and if the local police can coordinate there efforts with the alarm company this may help. I wish I could help out more but since my main base of opperations is here in the US that is the best I have to offer. I hope you are able to recover your kit.

people nick them because they know they can sell them off within a few hours! I could make a few phones calls right now and sell off alot of my gear and have cash in my hand tonight if i wanted too, its all the dodgy little 2 man firms around that do it all, its not good and I would never buy gear if i knew it was stolen
