If you're considering that chipper, I'd consider one of these, it's guaranteed to cut better for longer and is a lot cheaper.

this would be me and my ground worker if we had to use it for the day

So have you used one and had it break?!

I used one once and before the first tank of fuel was used up we took it back to the shop. It might well be ok for a garden (but not for a gardener) but is just too light and flimsy to be used if you expect to be doing some actual work with it. It takes sooooo much time to use.

It depends on how much you want to chip I suppose. I found it works out cheaper "to save up work" and hire an "expensive one" (as you put it) for a day and work it hard all day, as with one of those it would take about a week (if not more..) to do the same work.

Nice one thanks for sharing that, its all well and good people taking the piss but actual hands on experience is good to know. It sounds like i have too much work for a machine of that size!

As you suggest ill pile up the brash i generate on my field and pay the £120 for an afternoon with a colleagues £18k bad boy!
