They are common in northern Europe, I had a couple of flats in Germany with a tile oven. They come in some pretty gruesome colours

ive been looking at masonary heater for a while .expensive bit of kit. im planing to build a rocket mass heater in the autumn.

Me Mam was just talking about these the other day, she said they had them allover central Europe in the old days, but they reached to the ceiling!
