Yeah I've heard mixed reviews of the OP, will try AP in the future. I never give up, even if it takes me ages to get the hang of. I've seen the benefits of using it, when compared to hip-thrusting.

Michoacan or knut were two hitches I really liked when getting used to the Hitchclimber style system. Bit more reliable on the grabbing front than a VT. With a cord that long you are probably better on the knut over the michoacan. Michoacan is a short hitch like a distel so with a cord that long the 'sit back' would be quite big.

yeh, definately shorten those legs on your hitch and unless you have a hitch that self tends don't forget to pull your slack through!!

Just got my new toys through in the post courtesy of FR Jones. Any tips for a greenhorn moving from prussiks to the hitchclimber? :thumbup1:

put another couple of wraps on your swabisch hitch. that should shorten those legs up and give you more friction. its a good friction hitch. ive always really liked o.p.

keep an eye out for the hitch catching on the top krab when you sit into your harness, i find that more than 4 turns becomes too tight and is a hassle
