i only noticed this slight fraying today, should i be concerned and will it be ok for loler? it may sound daft but can i put anything on it to stop the fibres coming out any more?

sorry for the crap pic, iphone decided to focus on the bin!

if you feel safe on it Carry on If not change it,We can tell you its safe etc But you make the call...

 

I say its safe as its only fraying My rope looks like that and its only a year old.

i feel safe on it, hence why i've been climbing on it all day after finding it this morning, but i know diddly squat about ropes, loler etc so thought i would check.

I'd still use that. My Tachyon looks a bit like that. Do you use a pantin?

speak with your boss mate, see what he thinks and just say its a concern of yours and you want the loler records checked when they are due, if you know when they are due? and get it tested :thumbup:

Then please take some training and doing some reading. Every rope (construction) with the combination of friction knot or device, and use, results in different characteristics and requirements for retirement of ropes. Please base your life on better knowledge.
