I'd go for a 390XP over a 395XP. It costs less, weighs less (7.1kgs vs 7.9kgs) but is only a fraction less powerful (6.5hp vs 6.6hp).

 

Never run a 395 mind you, so a might be talking a load of rubbish :001_unsure:

yeah been thinking that to buddy, the only thing i don't like about the 395xp is the chain break is only fixed one side, not sure that this would be an issue but looks a bit breakable :confused1:

 

the 390xp would be nice and like you say good power to weight ratio compared to the 395xp but the MS660 is and has always been a favourite of mine and looks awesome to.

 

think i've made my mind up thanks to LORRY. :thumbup:

The 390xpg is fantastic. Got a 24" on it and it flys. It can take a 36" but its not a CE approved combination. Can run .404 too but again not CE marked.

 

I prefer the 390 to the 660. Never really liked the 660 though. I think if you get the US exhaust for the 395 it ups the power a bit.
