What an idiot it reminds of my first boss when we were clear felling he did exactly the same but in chainsaw shorts !

 

Dumb, just plain dumb. How many things could have gone wrong in that scenario? The head breaking out? The tree twisting on the way down? The guys didn't even have a helmet on. Sometimes you have to wonder about Darwins theory when you see this.
