where can i buy small loads of cordwood in lancashire??

Hi all, any suggestions as to where i may be able to buy small loads of unseasond cordwood in lancashire either deliverd or collected, maybe 2 or 3 tons at a time, and how much should i expect to pay, thanks.

If you have the access and storage space I would get 8 wheeler in with 17 tonnes on of ash and oak. I would avoid beech as it will go punky in a year. You will have firewood for years and its not going to get any cheaper. £52 a tonne delivered.

Thanks genset, unfotunatley i dont have enough storage space for 17 tonne, but do have access for a 8 wheeler. i was really after smaller loads, thanks for the reply.

i think the term cordwood is a measure of wood but some people use the term for unprocessed firewood, im just after smallish loads of uncut and unsplit wood, two or three tonnes at a time, as i can cut and split it myself, i dont mind how long the logs are, its just that i dont have storage for more than a few tonnes, thanks.

Quick question but do you know a supplier in Lancashire who delivers for £52 a tonne?

 

I may have found a regular supply now but if that doesn't work out, I could do with a similar priced supply myself - unfortunately I'm the other side of the Pennines.
