i didnt cut through one but riipped the mounting bracket and wire clean off the house.... does that count?

I once did a large Ash next door to a taxi rank. I asked them to move all the cars but they were a pain and only moved a few. Anyway, my concentration lapsed and I dropped a big limb. The phone line yanked the bracket off the wall ..... Along with the three bricks/stone that it was attached to and landed, in very slow motion onto the bonnet and side wing of the car beneath.

Ouch!

Cash flow wasn't too good at the time to take the hit so was the only time I've had to make a claim off insurance. (not that ive had to pay out any other damages). Good job I did though cos the kind taxi gentleman did make a big fuss!! Was my fault though so can't complain. :blushing:

never with a tree or saw, several times in the lorry, twice in a 360!!! :blushing:

The last time we had to have one repaired was 6 years ago when a tractor driver that was taking logs away took one out, to repair it was £50.:001_rolleyes:

I once dismantled a very large Lombardi pop. 4 phone lines that couldn't be dropped on the day due to them being for emergency services as all the homeowners were elderly, meant we roped every thing down.

Half way through the second day and after fighting against the wind all morning another crew turned up and as there was 4 climbers on site I asked if one would take over for a bit. The manager went up, stropped up the first piece and cut it. He snapped out the piece he tied onto and a couple of pieces flew off and everyone stepped back to avoid being hit. The last bit came down and took out all 4 lines and as one of them tensioned it pulled an alarm box of the wall and bracket and clubbed one of the other climbers over the head.

was working on the ground for a climber, he bounced a branch of the line going through it and got it caught, tried to free it up with the fiberglass set, succeded without any damage, then 2 seconds after i put the pole set down he bunced another one of the line and pull the bracket clean out the wall, didnt pull the line out tho it just sat alot lower than usual
