no , but going to college teaches you to look after tree's , not butcher them. thats what this job is about. caring for the tree you are working on,not killing it by bad pruning.

no offence to other people that been to colleage but would you realy become a better climber, just interest how some of think . myself i think it better to be self taught but that me

its not all about being a good climber though mate. its a major part yes, but you have to do the job well when your up there. you cant just top tree's , say thats reduced then go on to the next job in 10 minutes.

Just incase you haven't noticed mate this forum mainly consists of people who do care for tree's so your attitude needs adjusting!
