To be...Qualified or not to be...Qualified?

Doing one new unit or redoing one, is seen as a refresher.

 

Not something I subscribe to personally.

 

I would not consider it for myself but most things for employees come as a requirement.

you are rite dave iv just dug/ looked at my old Fork lift ticket and the expiry date it there. just thought it was a bit funny that they also call that a refresher to

There is no excuse really for not being qualified,you dont have to do the training,for quite a few of mine I just read the assesment schedule and booked the assesment.Insurance companies are just not going to pay out if something happens and you aint got the tickets.

Luckily never had to make a claim but what do you reckon would hapen if I smashed a limb through a roof or something causing thousands of pounds worth of damage.I can only asume they would check me out as it is a requirement of the policy that I am qualified.If you claim on a car the first thing the insurance asssesor will check for is condition of tyres and any mods that aint done for fun.

Thats my understanding of it aswell.Why take the risk with someone that isnt insured considering the problems it could cause?

one more Q i would like to no the answer to is u do ur tickets with a 15inch max bar saw does that mean ur insurance wont cover u if u use a 20inch bar saw witch is my main ground saw
