Had a 'phone call today for woodchip. Asked cost per m3! Man explains he has new woodchip stove and invites me to come and see it; so I did. Neat little thing, square, say 20" x 20" box on legs. You pour fresh green chip into the little tray at the back where the heat dries it out (via a seperate steam chute); a small internal chute with a lever operated door allows the chip into the combustion area and the rest is pretty simple. 8kW output.

Poor farmer is going to be getting less chip from now on; kinda guessed this was going to happen. Get ready! Hold onto your chip!

This is not to be confused with a wood-pellet stove that uses those little dry compressed pellets; this is a tree surgeons waste eating machine with good looks and an awesome potential.

And we'll be selling chip instead of giving it away. :001_cool:

Based on some folks charging £35 a cube; I've given away over £4000 worth of chip in the last 3 weeks !!!

It 's heart breaking:thumbup1:
