ID this generator?

Well its arrived. Just been fettling the wiring of the speed indicator (yay it had one).

 

It has the the makers name as GENETRACT.

 

Its def single phase.

 

Now do I make a frame for it to go on the 3 point link or bolt it down?

 

Bolting it down would have to be to some tree trunks made into large sleepers so still moveable but not as easy as a frame.

 

I am guessing that at full output we are talking some serious power.

 

Would a normal shaft be ok or will it need a shear bolt or clutch one

hi your pto generator is made by ring rose looking at pic its either 15kva or 20kva it has a durilite 3 light system for the correct voltage for the generator,and there will also be a plug for anti-condension heaters,these were mainly use as a stand by for dairy farms,these generators were made by markon/stanford type lc32 hope this helps regards kevin
