Just had a quote from nfu for a grand, for a 2007 astravan 1.7. Full business use fully comp. I'm 28 with full no claims. Seems a bit steep to me but being my first car for business use I don't know. What are people paying? Cheers mike

I have a 2000 vauxhall combo 1.7d t0hat i use for my bikes and with Admeral I pay £550, 22 with 4 years no claims. Didnt think that was too bad as its the first car/van I have insured that comes under 1k!

Is that as a business car?

nfu have gone mad with their quotes this year, i know alot who havent renewed this year with them, try swintons or moneysupermarket.com both weve had good deals with

Yeah according to the guy I spoke to, all insurances rose in November, my renewal is due in may and he said be prepared for it to go up. I'm currently paying 400 for the 90 and 670 for the range rover. Though there not business use. When I asked how much it'd be to change the use of the 90 to business use he said an extra £6 for the rest of the policy! Crazy
