Ive been looking at these trousers for a while but it seems they now only do them in class 2, does anyone know if you can get the class 1 trousers any more?

Class 1 protection is 20 metres per second

Class 2 protection is 24 metres per second

Basically a chain runs at a said speed measured in metres per second and the above is tested to stop a saw at the speed stated.

Working out your chain speed is a whole lot different as it depends on a whole manner of things. It did get covered here.

Hope this helps.
