You can check out both specs here. If you came into our shop or rang us we would say Lawnflite Pro every time. Stronger, less down time, much much less plastic.

If you need one we keep both in stock and can be with you the following day.

Hayter Harrier 56 (566) 22" cut self propelled Pro roller rotary mower | F R Jones and Son

Lawnflite Pro 21" cut 553HRS-PRO self propelled roller rotary mower | F R Jones and Son

A bit more Money but a lot more mower is the Honda HRX, I use a 537 and it cannot be faulted, Huge bag thet packs very well even in the wet.

The Hydrostatic drive is awsome, No buggering about with gears just move the handle to any speed you like. I pushed my van on the flat just to show off how powerful the drive was!

The plastic body is really tough, The engine fires first time every time and you have the option of mulching from 10% to 100% or bagging just the same.

The engine keeps running when you travel without the blade running and stays running while you change the bag.

They do a roller version i think its called the HRX 536.

Spoke to a local contractor who seems to have had every mower on the market, And cuts a LOT os slopes.

He tells me the Honda is the only mower thats lasted more than one season!

My Boss has Johh Deeres but I always use my own personal HRX!

Having owned four Hayter Harrier 48 pros over six years, and subsquently seen the build quality fall with the newer models, I wouldn't recommend a Hayter mower for contract / maintenance work. It's guaranted to break one day after the six months warrenty, be a bugger to fix and cost you an arm and a leg.

Go for a Honda.

We've got some Harrier 48 Pros, now about 3 years old and running well although only used on fine turf areas, so they haven't had a hard life (Etesias for all the heavy cutting)

These Lawnflites look interesting, although they also look heavy. Had some Honda Pro roller mowers before and had a few expensive repairs and because of their weight manual handling was an issue.

Raywood - I'm guessing CJ's for the Hayters and Cathcarts for the Hondas?

Honda all the way!

I've got 2 of the 4 wheeled and 2 of the rollered 536's.

Used to do an MOD contact with them and they were getting run all day every day and never had a problem with them. The fact you can keep the engine running whilst cleaning the chute, massive grass box and a deck thats unbreakable make them invaluable imo.

Just make sure you change the oil a couple of times during the season (dependant on use) and they'll last you for ages!!

Got them out the other day to get them ready for this year and they all started first time after spending winter chained up in the garage!:001_smile:
