mercedes sprinter old shape anygood?

got a T reg one, had for 5 yrs, got 170000 on the clock and just had a new clutch put in...... with new dual mass flywheel, seals and master cylinder

 

truck very reliable, drives and pulls well, never had any major probs

Merc all day long! I have one and it's great! 54 plate, 76k on the clock pulls like a train, restricted by Merc to 62mph so the engine has not been thrashed!

got a p reg 308 no computer, 400,000 miles still runs like new, did the head gasket 100,000 a go, will get another one Merc all the way

Brilliant motors inthe 310 and 312 2.9 turbo i owned one a few years back ran it from 140k to 280 the head gasket went shortly after a laying down 5 hour run from scotland to Kent...i worked hard to keep up the reputation of those vans, so fair play to it it was tapped out everywhere, one head gasket and other than that it just got the oil changed and diesel put in it...or maybe cooking oil. Good smooth fast engine lovely van to drive, much nicer than even the newst transits. I also had a 311 for a bit which was just as good.

 

Sprinter or Transit...Once you've got behind the wheel of a Sprinter you'll realise thats not a question :-) Merc all the way!

yea a good mate of mine has one, he delivers for interlink and his has just ticked over 300,000 miles and its still running mint!

Iveco makes a transit seam retarded sprinters are good but normally way overpriced and parts are more expensive
