the phaeolus pine where we all had to get on shoulders for a shot of the FB? the little site its in seems familiar.

I wonder whos home in the last shot of the Oak butt!:001_rolleyes:

 

 

My first thoughts are i. dryadeus? the swell on that butt looks similar to others ive seen.

 

the other oak is ther f.h. in attendance? early stages perhaps? cant really make much out. could be wrong with that though, and its probably something else :001_smile:

youve got Fistulina in the first oak, with the first signs of bulging on the near buttress

 

and i. dryadeus causing a thinning of the wall and has prompted the oak to react to this thus causing the swelling butt

Yes, and an old dessicated large bracket on the floor!:lol:

 

yes not so much butt swelling though, more flare at the lower basal region.:thumbup1:
