do the maths christmas trees @ £10 each every 8 year as he said it aint going to go out of fashion anytime soon unlike fire wood or milling.

I wouldnt be so sure, i havent bought a tree at xmas for years!

firewood is an increasing demand

milling will increase in demand, good planks are always of high demand

its more about turn over though, sure fire wood is popular now and lets hope it stays like that but these fads and fashions come and go people are trying to save money by burning timber until it goes up, it takes time to grow millable timber.

dont let big fel hear that you have not brought a christmas tree in years !! they are more enviromentaly friendly than fake too.

Its more like 14-16 pound per tree for a 175-200cm first grade Nordman. That is a wholesale price to a garden center or similar, if you can establish your own sales outlet for your tree's then your talking proper money. Anywhere from £25-£50 per tree to joe public.

It's good to see an interest in the potential and that some have already invested in woodland.

Pension fund managers and investors make a good living just setting these types of investments up, and continue to take a percentage over the term. Could it be done without them ? using legal contracts to keep all happy ?

this report sent to me by another Arbtalker look promising and the tax guide is very interesting.
