935i drive belt changing.

I had a look at mine Tom and from what I see once the guards are off you need to remove the bearing housing from the end of the engine and it should come off.

 

If you need a little more slack in the belt to get it over the pullies you may need to disconnect the engaging rod and slide the engine further across.

 

If I were to guess, Id say it should take a max of two or three hours to do unless Im missing something:confused1:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

P.S, You could do a detailed report when you do it with plenty of pickies and step by step instructions, and it may be real useful for anyone else that may need help in the future:sneaky2::thumbup:

tommer you need to take the engine off of its sliding mounts - you will need a varied selection of sockets and spanners as the nutts on the under side of the chipper , also you nees a nut remover as im guessing one of them will be rounded off , secondly you will need to remove the cowling from the front of the engine to get to the sliding plates - this will be awkward as there is a steel bracket in the way which is useles , next you will need to remove the belt tensioning lever pins from the side of the engine - this is awkward as one of the r pins will be held in by a hydraulic pipe , after this mate your on your own .
