MS200T keeps flooding

And running a saw for weeks on end with it way out of adjustment, or standing there for 15 minutes revving the saw hoping it will all of a sudden start running right will also burn up a saw. Just learn how to set the carb correctly and when it's not right, FIX IT. It's not going to fix itself.

I adjust.

Actually, I have gone through so many breathers on my 020ts, the bloke in the saw shop always jokes about the amount of them that I get though, "Why not just buy a new saw?" he quips.

But I will have the last laugh as I have put a large nut from copper pipe fittings over the breather to protect it.

Genius...

Steve, I adjusted my saws by ear for years and never burned one up. However, I did buy a tach recently because my newest Husky 346 has a rev limiter and it's difficult for me to set it at the optimum rpm by ear.

I used it to check most of my other saws and all were within about 500 rpm of their optimum setting. The 200T is rather easy to set by ear.

When you read workshop manuals for husky saws they say to adjust the high end revs so the saw ever so slightly "4-strokes" at full chat. Is this perhaps to supply a little extra oil to the piston/crankcase at times of engine loading?
