As we sit at 134m & are 6 miles away, I (as well as another few hundred like minded souls) thought the view of the laser show of the Shards opening from Hampstead Heath, would be the best seat(s) in the house.

 

Boy were we wrong !

 

Could barely make anything out last night

 

Inferior images due inpart to poor camera & poor camera operator

I was half tempted to go along to the laser show (was at London Bridge at about 1800 anyway) but couldn't be arsed in the end. Doesn't look like I missed much...

Sorry, my previous comment was misplaced. I was refering to Tom D's Edinburgh evening panorama.

 

 

By way of penance, here's some of my not very good landscapes. First pair are a private house in Shropshire; second pair are at Harlaxton nr Grantham

Seeing as it's mid-summer; here's some of better weather.

 

First pair are in the High Peak Derbyshire having just missed the mountain hare but being rewarded with the Scots pine. Made that trip on skis Jan 2005! Last one another little ski trip, this time Glenmore forest 2011

Apparantly the henge is meant to be 90 miles away from central london

 

Well either the figures are somewhat out, or my camera has an amazing optical zoom
