How many brushes did you chip before you found the right size one :laugh1:

Seems like 14hp it is. Bit of elbow grease never does any harm!

Haha yeah I made sure it was the right size before I bought it, did double check though. I turned it round once to try and push a twig that wasn't going anywhere and chipped a couple of inches off the handle though:blushing:

It was a little long anyway so was all good in the end:thumbup:

Don't find it a problem tying it down personally.

I've just changed blades for a new set after approx 25hours since we last turned the first set, what a difference!

I seem to slip into forgetting what fresh blades are like at times.

Tested them out on a 10cm diameter 3m length of fresh cut laurel, ripped it out of my hand and threw perfect regular chips, like a new machine again.

I'm pretty clinical about what gets fed into and by who but I find 20-25hours is a good period between changes.

A bugger is, I have just quoted on 2 jobs both mature Thuyia with a mass of drooping and curved branches.

Lots of prepping with the chipper saw before that lot can be fed through.

Still, might add an hour onto the total of each job but thats peanuts compared with buying a big new tow behind machine plus the convenience of being able to portage the CS100 almost anywhere and to be able to leave 90% of chip on site for the clients convenience.

Regards

Ty

25 hours is good for some blades. I'll be making sure mine is well looked after.

I've got a plan to take a big wheelbarrow with me on site. Then if I'm in a back garden. I would take both chipper and barrow through and chip into the barrow. The big trailer I have has a ramp so would be ideal.

Can't wait for the demo. Will be testing it on a site clearance so will have a range of stuff to put through it.

get yourself credit card, use 1 to buy my mates 1, then get another credit card that has a zero% balance transfer, swap the credit onto that, cut up the original card, never use the new 1 and you have an interest free chipper, job done:thumbup1:

ps, chip into a wheely bin, much easier Rob

that little greenmech chipper on that trailer look a smart bit of kit and after watching video clips of it in action it amazed me how much grunt its got for a little chipper if i had some spare cash id snap it up.

Oh I see your game you canny Scot!

Up and down the street filling neighbours wheely bins whilst they are at work...

Really, green waste disposal has come to that?

Ty

yes, nobody notices me going into their gardens, tipping out all their compost and filling them with my chip, it is so suttle.:001_rolleyes: I really wish it was possible to buy my own bins, remove them off site and put them in my chip yard:biggrin:

wheelie bin was the first thing bought after getting the 100,, i've only had to cart chip away from one customer,, everyone else has kept it,,
