Hi guys

Since is my first job not sure what the daily rate for my labour (excluding costs waste etc..) should be for tree work ? i am in the south west so guess is not as much as in south east. Any ideas much appriciated.

cheers

hi mate.. total job sounds like 4 to 500 quid to me.. all depends what you want to end up with in your pocket at end of job or day... i'd have to pay a climber out of that money so your be 150 in font to start with.. i'd want to do 2 jobs of similar price in 1 day to make it worth while for me... if your just startin word of mouth is better than any amount of advertisin..

well done on getting you certs ,that is your first step in the right way ,reductions ,to be done right take more than cs 30 ,38,39 etc ,making sure your tree has the correct cuts and in the right place etc . if its your first job dont be quick to slap on the £'s . Make sure its done right ,and so on and so on ,and the rest will follow .just try and cover your costs on the first few jobs unless your quite sure your capable of doing a spot on job

Where are you based!!

Its only a 40ft tree, couple of hours work plus clean up, half day max!!

Aiden, charge what you want and if they say no then its too much and if they say yes please then its too little. Learn as you go. what might be too much (or too little) to some clients will be ok for others. Just remember that an experienced climber will do a better job in half the time and a tree cpomany would get the clear up done within that short time so that is what you are quoting against, but if no one else is quoting and the client is daft enough to let a newbi work on their tree then it dont matter what you charge.

Lets see some before and after pics here though, that is the price you have to pay for askign for advice.
