I've got to agree with the others. When i shoot i take the meat. If i can't use it, someone else always can.

Shoot for sport by all means, but respect the game. If its vermin, fine, but otherwise, don't waste perfectly good food.

You wouldn't expect to hear people on this site burning good firewood in an open field to get rid of it, just because they haven't got a fire in their house!

 

 

 

Same here, even though I don't get out as much as I used to, if we don't eat it then usually it keeps the ferrets going for a week or so.

 

My boss is the sort of person who'd burn good firewood in a field - just so I couldn't have it.

i shot a collard dove the other day........ would you eat that?

any pheasants i used to shoot i always skinned them and gutted them on me slab while they were still warm and then gave them to people so im not a complete waster:001_cool:
