got a call from a guy plugging the .gov line asking if i was interested in LA work.

 

Spoke to him today and hes was selling it to me, how they email me within hours of tenders and jobs that the LA's have and looking for compaines to do the work, in order to help smaller companies get work and save the councils money.

 

It does cost anything at all. just got to sign up.

This is great i thought where do i sign!

 

Then.... there is just a £99+vat annual fee.

Doh!

 

has anybody hear of this company or used them?

I just had a quick look and it does not make me want to reach for my wallet. seems a bit vauge to me.

Any thoughts please!

personally i would not bother just another scam trying to get your hard earned cash:thumbdown:

If he called you then its a scam, or at least it may not be a scam, it may well be perfectly legal, but if he's calling you then its in his interests not yours.

 

Thats the best rule of thumb IMO, if they call you then avoid it.

 

If you want LA work then YOU need to do the calling round.

i have been on .govs mail list for 2 years, it never cost a penny, i put in my area, where i would work and what i would do. Everyday with out fail i get an email about painting walls in Birmingham, building a bridge in Cornwall and NEVER anything about tree work. I have tried to get them to stop sending me stuff but i just canr figure it out, there isnt the usual bit at the bottom of the page.

yeah i had similar thoughts. thing with me is i dont trust anyone when they start asking for money.

 

think i will give this one a miss.
