we use a 6 inch post hole borer on a bob cat great on large sites with access:thumbup:

 

Have you had any experience of using an Auger on a 3/4 ton micro digger ?

 

Seems like it could be a versatile piece of kit wen you nthink what else the micro can do !

definately hire it again. even on the compacted hardcore, it managed to break it up enough for us to get it out with the spoons

Looks the ideal job for a site like that, how many of you were working on that job?

good job but just a tip if you ever do any more fix the top rail level with top of fence and same with the bottom rail this will stop the boards warping in the sun plus you can nail the weatherd capping to top

nice job mate,have used the same auger on post and rail job, ground was chalk and flint, it ate through it no problem, agree with last comment about top rail etc, but then its only a temp job, so still great work

4 of us did the lot in two days, but the second day was an easy one.

 

one of the benefits of working on larger sites is the availability of large machinery.

 

the very nice jcb driver moved the 12 ton of top soil wherever we wanted it

 

the very nice forktruck driver moved the timber to wherever we wanted it

 

gave em both £20, everyones happy :biggrin:
