On MS200Ts you have two types of muffler, one with an open front and one with a closed front apart from the exhaust hole.

The open fronted one has a small bolt on the bottom of the hole about 1" from the right hand side, undo it and withdraw it.

The closed front one doesn't have one.

My job here is done, my pupils have seen the light:thumbup:

Dean could you help? my 200t lags on pick up and occasionlly stalls Ive read through all the problem 200t post, checked carb filter fuel line and now im grasping at straws

Lagging on pickup - make sure the air filter is clean, most lag in pickup from low revs is the L screw needs turning counter clockwise - around 1/4 turn and then adjust the idle as the richer mix will drop the revs.

Just make sure that if you adjust the H screw which controls almost flat out mix, you get it right as if it is too weak, your piston will become toast.

The saw should "burble" at high revs - yours sounds like the L setting.

If this doesn't do it you may have a split carb boot - if this is the case, you may fry the piston due to the air leak.
