Another great video, A joy to watch, Just wondering though, One of your groundies standing in the road controlling traffic, Where's his hi-vis? Correct me if i'm wrong but that aint legal, If there were some sort of accident involving traffic, Wouldn't you be in trouble?

Seans orange waterproof was pretty high-vis IMO, or at least it appears that way in the video. The other guy had the standard yellow one like yours Glen

Good point and what about the highways agency with the slip lane blocked off?

I’m sure if they had driven by they’d have said, “yep, that’s the best place to park guys, be careful though!”

I aint having a go at anyone but when working on the road you need to wear proper hi vis jackets with the stripes in all the right places:001_smile: if not then you could be in trouble if theres an accident.

Just because its orange/yellow etc dont matter I'm afraid.

Nice vid though btw :thumbup1: I think that groundie that didnt look up works for me sometimes!

Same as i'm not trying to critisise the job it's just that when i did my chapter 8 i was told that anyone working on a road had to where flourescent green hi-viz, His orange one is not legal for working in the road, If there were some kind of incident you would be in trouble.

I did say in my initial post that the traffic management was far from exemplary

Personally, I always wear a high vis, even up a tree....but these are not my jobs, none of the vids are, I'm just the hired help. At the end of the day, these guys wear what they want....I'm not there to train or supervise. But FWIW, I wasn't concerned about his orange raincoat. The only forseable accident where it might go against him in this situation would be if someone were to drive right over hin and then claim they didn't see him....which seemed unlikely due to the timing, clear visibility, speed limit and the 200 yards of signs either side of the tree, and again his orange coat.

Its not ideal but trust me Ive seen and work with far less conscientious firms than Seans.

There's actually more to this situation regarding the company owner also....If you go to the treebuzz/video forum and find the same thread, there's an interesting story that preceeded this job. thanks
